So this is the second time I’m interviewing you at the Armory show. What inspired this outfit? It’s amazing.

Well it’s Christopher John Rogers, so it had a lot of inspiration on its own but I had a long time trying to figure out exactly how to wear it right. It’s a very long dress so I tried to make it like a matador romantic version.

How would you say the Armory show changed from last year to this year?

I think it’s just as we moved to the Javits center. It was all about finding the footing and what’s the version of the Armory show that’s here and not at the Piers.

Do you think the show is better at the Javits than the Pier?

They’re almost like twins. Like two different versions of one fair. And I think people are finally saying this is getting truly its new version, like it’s fully realized self has finally happened.

So we’re both waiting in line at Starbucks right now. What’s your drink of choice?

I get a matcha latte.
