Calicho Arevalo, artist

As an artist, what inspires your creativity?

The people and the city of where I’m from, Colombia. Different factors of my culture is the main source of my creativity.

How do you combine your culture (as a Colombian) and your art?

I feel like my culture is very joyful and happy. Using bright colors in my art is a great way to express that. I like to do a lot of duality. Mixing sad and happy and using various colors to make the art more exquisite.

What’s your life mantra?

Dream big and always believe in yourself.
