So as a teacher, what impact do you try to make on kids in terms of bullying and what’s going on in the media? 

I guess to just feel empowered to allow them to be themselves and allow them to stand up for themselves but to also make sure they know they’re going to get hurt and accept that as a possibility of just life.

As a teacher, what have you learned about yourself after working with kids?

That I really don’t like working with adults and I couldn’t imagine going to a job everyday where I kind of get to live in the moment. It’s nice to interact with individuals who put a smile on your face.

How do you think art can impact children and is it important to expose children to art?

I think all kids are artists and unfortunately school trains that out of them. So I guess just giving them lots of opportunities to experience all the different mediums that are made available to them. Giving them the space and the time to find themselves artistically
